Hi! I'm Spencer. I'm a blogger living in Singapore. I enjoy art, film, music and theatre. I keep all my fashion magazines in a big green Ikea box (that is way overloaded) because my parents do not know of the existence of this blog and my forbidden love of fashion. They actually think I'm watching porn (or doing something morally wrong) when I obsessively spend hours on the computer. I love people who are socially awkward, just like me. I believe in feminism. I have an obsession with Ugly Dolls. I secretly think I'm Japanese, most probably Takashi Murakami or Hayao Miyazaki. I like creeping people out. So I guess I'm kinda creepy too sorta, sometimes.
In the beginning of 2011, this blog officially became a menswear blog. (It previously dealt with womenswear but that is history now.)
And to end the many questions I receive "What does theclackers stand for?", I shall answer your question with another question. "Don't you lovely fashion folks watch The Devil Wears Prada?" About this blog
To many of you who had came across this blog before 2011, this was previously written by a boy who was once obsessed with womenswear. As this boy started to grow up, the blog too morphed into a menswear blog and shed its past in the archives section (though random musings about Rodarte or Comme des Garcons shows may find its way here.)
This blog aims to cover every menswear collection that I'm obsessed about, both on and off the runways. While I do appreciate the theatrics of a good runway collection, this blog also aims to showcase young and emerging design talents. I'm not exactly a hardcore traditionalist nor a radical menswear innovator, but I am an advocator of creativity, self expression and impeccable tailoring. I love hearing about new designers so if you do know any that you wish to share, my mailbox is open to you.
(This menswear blog is still pretty new and hopefully we might expect some exciting developments in the near future.)
